Talk to em, get a conversation going, learn about them, become friends. Work out what kind of guy he really is first, this'll also mean when you ask them out or whatever it won't be so bizzare or awkard, and if he's kind of 'one track mind (girls are objects)' kinda thinker, this'll also mean he'll respect you mroe as you aren't just some other girl, your a friend as well.
