Actually, I get the best advice here in the Weddings section of Yahoo! Answers =) Generally, people here always provide sincere answers ~ and looking through questions others have posted have given me a ton of ideas.
Good luck planning and CONGRATS! =)I just got engaged last night! What websites have the best ideas/planners/advice?
Congratulations!!! What a fun date to get engaged on, I'm happy for you!
I also recommend TheKnot.com, and I'm not sure if UltimateWedding.com is still around, but they have a bunch of articles and a forum that I practically lived on for a while :-P
I hope you stick around here and browse, it's full of ideas and questions other brides have had, and you can garner a lot of knowledge from it :-)
Have you picked a date yet? :-)I just got engaged last night! What websites have the best ideas/planners/advice?

Hello dear!
Congratulations!
Please, allow me an advice further and higher to your question: Let yourselves make it a unique event! Enjoy each another and forget what the society wants you to follow. Follow your heart! Do what is good for you not for the masses!
The knot.com is tops.
TheKnot.com is great! All my friends use it, and they actually make a book/planner that my sister is currently using!
I'm not sure what location you're in, but check out www.brideboard.com if you're in the NYC area. It has great resources and a ton of vendor listings with reviews. GOOD LUCK!!
The knot! Congrats! That website has been a serious help for me, so far. There is a lot to do, but just pace yourself! I am slowly knocking things out one by one, as opposed to doing it all in the end. Enjoy!
Check out theknot.com
The part that is probably the most useful are the 'knottie bios'. These are real stories and reviews from brides (mostly) and grooms (a few).
Whenever I want to learn more about something (photographer for example) I search 'wedding photography (city) knottie bio'
You got engaged on 11-11??!!!!!!!!
