Need advice 50 '; LCD or Plasma and which one is best to buy?

I am looking to purchase a new TV that has to be around the 50'; size. Itneeds to be full HD and look pretty slick.

My budget is just over 拢2000. Im torn between buying a plasma and an LCD.

So any suggestions as to what is the best 50'; for my cash would be helpful.

Good Lord you DON'T want is SO BLACK you can't see the detailing in a Black shirt or jacket or background!

PLASMAs consume TWICE the energy that a LCD Panel TV does...

And LCD Panel TV sets are NOT a good choice around little KIDS...they break the $2000 panel.

YOU KNOW what the environment is in YOUR home...and now YOU KNOW the real basic and most important aspects of LCD and PLASMA TV sets....

In my HOME...no kids, so an LCD Panel is ideal for me....

Now, for Plasma TV sets, I recommend the Panasonic line, because they give the best picture and best reliability over any other plasma set.

As for LCD TV sets, I always recommend SONY for the same reasons....Need advice 50 '; LCD or Plasma and which one is best to buy?
If your are buying a TV that size it has to be plasma good makes are Panasonic and pioneer LCD is just a waste of money if you are going to buy a TV that size. And if your are paying that much money in a shop make sure you get some freebies such as an HDMI led.
Anything over 32inch should be Plasma. What you are looking for are deep blacks, because of the technology difference between them Plasma give deeper blacks. Forget the colours it is the blacks that give the definition to the picture. With LCD when the pixel is turned off light can still escape making the black a little grey. With Plasma there is no light to escape, so you get a truer black.
