Take Care and God Bless !Best acne face wash and advice for first time-ers?
The best wash for your face is water. The face washes on the market are not designed for acne. Your doctor can give you some clindamycin gel to put on your pimples before you go to bed each night which will work much better. Eat lots of fruit and veg, don't smoke and some zinc suppliments will give you healthy looking skin.
You left out the most important information%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;your age. I'm assuming you are pre-teen or early teen. Your new hormones that are making other changes in your body are also making your skin change. I can't see your 'acne' so it's difficult to answer your question. You might try one of the name brand foaming facial scrubs, but that doesn't mean that YOU SCRUB your face....you will make it more irritated and red if you try to cure acne overnight. It's a process. Buy one of those very soft facial brushes that are about $1 at walmart in the cosmetics dept. Put your foaming face wash on that (just a tiny amount, not gobs) and lightly wash your face in circular motions. Use a wash cloth to remove the scrub with cool water. Pat dry. You might want to put some of the OTC benzyol peroxide on the acne and know ahead of time that if often makes your skin a tad worse for a week or so before you see it getting better. IF this simple regimen doesn't do it for your acne, then spend the $$$ to go to a Dermatologist for prescription meds and scrubs and pads that have stronger % of the benzyol peroxide on them. Get that acne under control as early as possible and it won't get to the scarring phase. Expect to be under treatment for about a year, but not with the Dermatologist every month.....usually only 3 or 4 visits in the year is normal. They give refills on the meds so you only see them every 3 or4 months. Don't waste your $$$$ on tTV acne products. My son's half sister did that and none of them did much at all. I told her not to, but she is an informercial-a-holic. There are Derm docs for a reason.....use them!
if you have pimples it's because your body couldn't keep up with the waste build up. take a laxative like prune juice or ex-lax. our mother always made us and we never had that problem. you can use Vaseline intensive care lotion to clear up the existing blemishes.
If you just want to start with the best, Pro-Activ is the best I've ever heard of, for any acne problems. Everyone I know with acne has tried it or uses it. You order it.
