Quotes, sayings, stories....

What helped you see the big picture?Best advice you've ever received?
To Believe in myself....because if I don't/didn't how could anyone else!

Same as with Loving myself....you have to love yourself before you can fall in love or allow anyone to love you for who you truly are.

  • Who in you life has offered the best advice?

Did you listen?Who in you life has offered the best advice?
My mother (gone for 21 years). One of the best pieces of advice she gave me was when I got married. She told me that they would always be there for me if I really needed them but she did not want me to run and tell her about arguements that my husband and I would have. She explained that we would make up and forgive each other that as a mom it would be harder for her AND that she would not be a part of the making up so she would more likely hold on the the fact that I was hurt. She said this wouldn't be fair to my husband or her relationship with him. She was a WONDERFUL mother and to hear my husband and sister-in-law (brother's wife) she was an AWESOME mother-IN-LAW, too.

    and yes, I did listen

I had to edit my answer, as the Bible has helped me through the roughest times in my life. So I would also agree with the person who said that.Who in you life has offered the best advice?
my father has always given me the best advice out of anyone ever to cross my path; i always listen to him although that doesn't necessarily mean i always do what he suggests or that i agree with him
    My grandmother.

    Yes
A woman I met at an airport. I did listen.
    My Dad and always.
    My father

And yes, I did listen except that one time I listened to my mother. I'm still paying for that one.
Only my friends... they give way better advice than my mom and dad and family and.. my friends are the only people that don't judge my questions :D
turn the negative into a possitive and yes i did
When I was a teenager I was in intertainment business,my guy friends advice me to respect my self and not easy on sex,in the old days the scary thing is to be pregnant unwed. Now,that I have been married and widowed older woman, that is still stucked in my mind.
The bible. And yes I do.

    Good question btw!
it's always my friends mom, they always know what to tell me, i don't ask my dad or other men for advice because they always tell their best friend about my problem and i know women would not do it. and i don't ask mom because i don't want her to look at me different because we have a strong relationship and i know i lot of people don't talk to their mom and that's the reason why.
my best friends..and of course my mom but i rarely listen to my mom even tho i know i should..
my grandmother...... and i listen sometimes not all the time
my sister, my mom, my dad and my husband. Yes I listen but I don't always take it
no one. everything i learned was through making mistakes and experiencing life on my own. but my older sister tells me what to do and i always listen, so i guess it'd be her.
    Jesus.

Best advice for flying with infant...?

I'm taking my 5 month old on a 10 hour flight. He has to be in my lap- the flight is full. Any tips?Best advice for flying with infant...?
I would bring his infant seat and try to find where there is an empty seat (you never know- maybe someone will cancel or not show up).

In case it is full, bring an infant carrier or sling so that you can place the baby in that - 10 hours is a long time to hold a baby and you will get tired.

Breast feed baby on take off %26amp; landing- it will help the babys ears.

Make sure you pack a bag with everything the baby may need.Best advice for flying with infant...?
I've been on many flights seated next to a mommy and child. Some were nightmarish, others were delightful.

Personally, I'd recommend springing for the extra seat because that is a long time for you to have to hold the little dear, and if you have someone seated next to you, it's going to be cramped and you and everyone will be miserable if/when baby gets upset.

That said, if you can't afford the extra seat, pray that someone doesn't show up and that you can use a spare seat on the flight. Also bring a good variety of small quiet toys that keep baby entertained. Have plenty of milk ready for him, too. Bottles, passifiers, blankets, and fresh diapers are all good items to have on hand. I'd go ahead and pack some baby tylenol and other things like that just in case a headache arises. He may be starting to teeth at 5 months, so a teething ring might be a good idea.

Basically anything that you can do that will improve your comfort and his. Happy baby means happy passengers (including you).
I'd keep hold of him and keep him calm and snuggled in your arms just to keep him calm and safe from all the movement that takes place on the plane. And play with him to keep him occupied and to keep your mind at ease.... I really have no experience with this i'm only 18 no kids so the best of luck :)

Hair color help?! + 10 points given for best advice?

Okay so i have dark brown hair..tan skin and blue eyes do u think i should dye my hair with blonde highlights or would it look werid? i was thinking to do something like this:http://www.10000takes.com/11111111111111鈥?/a>

need a lot of advice thanks so much :)Hair color help?! + 10 points given for best advice?
Well her highlights are more caramel color and not blond. I think it would look really nice on you especially for the summer. Take that photo to your stylist and show her what you are thinking of. Good luck :)Hair color help?! + 10 points given for best advice?
this would be great on you as it is subtle but has huge impact. Often people don't realise that you don't have to do crazy colours on your hair to make it stunning. Make sure you go to a stylist though and do not attempt this yourself especially as you have long hair (you might look like a german shepherd dog if it goes wrong)

Ask for a rich caramel highlight coming mainly from underneath. If you have colour on your hair then they will have to use bleach and a toner but as you are not lifting your hair too light this will mean minimal damage. Good luck.
    yeah........ go for it.......!!

blonde highlights will look amazing on you or even whole black hair......... u'll look chic......... try it out.......
Blond highlights look best on people with dark hair! The golden tones look really amazing on bronzed skin! Those are good highlights to get too, because they aren't the super fake looking platinum blond. I say get them.
With your hair color and skin tone, I think the color in the picture you provided would be best. Trying to go too blonde has been done and I think we're over it.

    More natural is better!

People only think they have to have problems, and that's not true. Make sure you don't need them and they won't come to you.

You know what, this is so right! Thinking that problems are not problems, they all get solved much quicker.
best quote ive heard....yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future, today is a gift that is why they call it the present
an old cowboy told me, 'the best advice i can give anyone is... don't try to go down stairs while wearing trifocal glasses and long-shanked spurs.' i intend to heed his advice.

A woman can have any man she wants as long as she is willing to lower her standards.
My father told me ; always be a gentleman.
A real estate salesman told me to get a lot when I was young.
Pay Attention! Not only to what they say, but also to what they don't say. You would do this for your friends, make sure you do it for your spouse as well. Understand that no matter how similar you are, each of you have different ways of processing information and dealing with problems. Respect them, even when you don't agree, and above all put GOD as a center of your marriage.. with this, you'll be fine.
No matter how bad you think you have it, there is someone out there that has it worse off. That saying, from my mother, has really helped me put MY life into perspective ALOT of times.

    Don't join the Marines.
communication is the key to a healthy relationship, or don't drink the wine before it's time (meaning don't say anything that you are going to regret later). these are the best two i ever heard because they are so true.

Is love blind? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

Well, I have been in love for 3 years. Even though I knew at the beginning that we could not be together, I still kep on loving him. I feel like I have been ignored the truth and reality.

In addition, when I am in love. I often ignore my partner weakness. He is perfect. (Blah, Blah, Blah)

What do you think? Is love Blind? Is love blind? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
I think love makes one turn a blind eye. I know myself that being in love makes you accept circumstances that normally you would not. Such as, well he was just talking to that woman a little close but nothing happened. I take what comes my way because I don't feel good about myself. That's what it comes down to. Low self esteem and denial. He wouldn't be lying to me. I must be imagining it. Sound familiar. If your not feeling good mentally then how can you make a value decision about something so important. Shades of my own past are coming back to me. Make sense Cutie Pie.Is love blind? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
yes you see him as a perfect egg even though you know he is a little cracked. thats how i see my friends too
definitely!!! the fact that you stayed for 3 years!!! love dint see the weakness of the partner. if you happen to find God's plan for you it will be blind. imperfect will seem perfect for you.
    OFCOURSE IT IS.

Hello.People loose their senses when their inlove.
