Someone give me there best explanation of the Swedish Proverb: Advice should be viewed from behind?

I saw this on a bumper sticker, I don't really know what to make of it, but somehow, it grabbed my attention, and its been on my mind for the past 5 days. Someone please help.Someone give me there best explanation of the Swedish Proverb: Advice should be viewed from behind?
I think it means that you need to think about what led that person to give that advice before you take it.

What experiences does that person have? People's opinions about what YOU should do (advice) are motivated by their own experience, but your experience may be nothing like theirs.

So, consider what led that person to give that advice instead of taking it blindly.

This is ';seeing it from behind'; both because you are trying to see it from their point of view (they are behind the advice that's coming at you) and because you are thinking about previous events that could change their motivation (behind you both time wise).

Edit: I REALLY like what your mom said, I didn't think about that.Someone give me there best explanation of the Swedish Proverb: Advice should be viewed from behind?
maybe that its saying instead of giving advise, one should look at the their actions and behaviors.

Or better said actions speak louder than words.
